If my people, who are called by my name,
will humble themselves and
pray and
seek my face and
turn from their wicked ways,
then
will I hear from heaven and
will forgive their sin and
will heal their land.

IIChronicles 7:14

Strange how each time a type of Christ appears on the scene
Babies die.

Moses was a type of Jesus as Deliverer.
When Moses was born
Babies died.

Passover was a type of Jesus as the Sacrificial Lamb
When the first Passover took place
Babies died.

When Jesus was born
Babies died.

Babies are dying again.
Do you think Jesus is at hand?

Why me, we ask when times are hard
Why me, we cry and moan
Why me, why now, why this?

And then when things are better
Once again, overcome with the blessing
We say, why me? Why now? Why this?

The answer comes from who knows where
I call the answerer God ...
Just accept it
You will always question, child.

The answer is because it happened,
Because of your choices,
Because you were willing
Willing to be there, to take the chance.

So we as individuals have to face the consequences in our lives and realize that all the fall-out (bad or good) comes because of what we choose. As a nation, I think we also have to realize that as well.

There are those who hate us (individually and as a nation) and our standards of liberty and freedom for all, women included. Those who will always wish to destroy America. But they can't because America collectively will always be willing to be there. Defending the weak, providing a place where all can be free.

Evelyn Gale is a pseudonym. As a child, faith in Christ Jesus became my refuge from an tumultuous home life during the school year. My summers were spent with my paternal aunts and grandmother in an environment of love and solitude where I read every book by Carolyn Keen and Phyllis Whitney I could get from the library. Every summer morning I held my own church service as the sun came up. I sang hymns, read the Bible and prayed. I prayed for the people in the cars that went past on the way to the small town on the next hill, and made up stories about their lives.

A firm believer that marriage is forever, I stayed in a turbulent marriage until I suffered a nervous breakdown. Following the divorce, I felt too flawed for God until, at the age of thirty-five, a younger friend led me back into fellowship with Christ. After committing my life to Jesus I suffered several years of financial hardship which served to strengthen my faith.

I am remarried and after twenty-five years on the farm we moved to a small city where I've worked as a legal secretary, as a computer sales person and as Office Manager of a large Lutheran Church. I perform similar services for my own Pentecostal congregation as Treasurer. Ever since our pastor left our little church I have served as lay pastor. .
