In 1993 I won third place in the Kathy Gibson Short Story Contest and was so surprised, I've not quit writing since. I joined The Free Lance Writers group, began taking College classes in writing fiction and successfully completed the Long Ridge Writers Group's "Breaking Into Print" program. After attending my first writer's conference I became a member of American Christian Writers and Christian Writers Fellowship International. I hone my writing skills through attendance at workshops, readings, retreats and conferences when possible and by membership in several national organizations and online groups.

Inspired by Mary Higgins Clark, Dee Henderson, Beverly Lewis and especially Terri Blackstock, my characters face spiritual, emotional and physical crises and learn a specific spiritual truth as the plot unravels. My plots reflect my experience as legal secretary, bookkeeper, farm wife, owner/manager of a ceramics store and an interior finishing business, computer sales person and office manager. My purpose for writing is to give back some of the joy I have experienced through reading good clean mysteries and I want to continue the genre. My desire is to write what God directs so that He may be glorified and His love for the sinner revealed through our novels.
